Nice place
An excellent Monument in honor of the heroes based on the novel by Ilf and Petrov (classics of fiction). A monument to the seekers of chairs and treasures hidden in them appeared on Efremov Boulevard in 2012 - the monument depicts Ostap Bender and Kisa Vorobyaninov with one of the twelve chairs. Cheboksary appeared twice in the famous novel: first, Ostap and Kisa sailed past them on a boat, and then it was in Cheboksary that they sold this boat for 5 rubles in order to get on the Uritsky steamship.
We were in Cheboksary for the first time - the city is very pleasant. The monument looks great in the photo even in the dark: the lighting is good.
An original monument to beloved characters, one of the few photogenic decorations of the local Arbat. I was pleasantly surprised by the lack of queues of people wanting to take photos, which is usually inevitable at popular tourist spots.
The original monument...
A very interesting and atmospheric art object, and also located in a picturesque place in Cheboksary. A must visit.
As I understand it, the monument was erected to literary heroes because, according to the plot of the film “12 Chairs,” Ostap and Kisa are sailing along the river, Vorobyaninov wakes up and loudly announces: “Bonjour! Oh, it seems Cheboksary!” Those. it is believed that they visited our city on the Volga.
An interesting monument, don't forget to rub it and make a wish.
